What we see in Burlington
Burlington knows basement flooding. On August 4, 2014, a storm dropped close to 200 mm of rain on parts of the city in a few hours and flooded thousands of basements. Many creeks run south from the escarpment through the city, and homes near them are the most exposed.
Since then, many Burlington homeowners have added backwater valves and sump pumps. Halton Region's subsidy covers much of that work. If you're restoring after a flood, we can add these on separate lines so you see their cost and what the subsidy gives back.
We also renovate kitchens, bathrooms and basements across Burlington, and build additions in older neighbourhoods like Roseland and Aldershot.
