Remove it properly, and remove the cause

Mould (or mold) grows wherever materials stay damp: after a leak, a flood, or years of condensation in a basement, attic or bathroom. Cleaning the surface doesn't fix it if the wall behind is still wet or the source is still there.

We start by finding the moisture. Then our IICRC-certified technicians contain the work area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread through the house, remove materials that can't be cleaned, clean and treat what stays, and dry everything before we close it up.

Where we find it most

In GTA homes: finished basements with a slow foundation leak, attics with poor ventilation or bathroom fans venting into them, bathrooms without enough exhaust, and behind walls after water damage that wasn't fully dried.

Is mould covered by insurance?

Usually only when it's the direct result of a sudden, covered event, like a burst pipe. Mould from long-term leaks, condensation or humidity usually isn't covered. If yours followed a covered water loss, we document the connection for your adjuster.

Can I clean mould myself?

Small surface spots on hard surfaces can often be cleaned. Larger areas, mould inside walls or mould that keeps coming back need proper containment and removal.

Will mould come back?

Not if the moisture source is fixed and the area is dried before it's closed up. That's why the moisture fix is always on your quote.

Is mould removal covered by insurance?

Usually only when it results from a sudden, covered event like a burst pipe. Long-term leaks and humidity usually aren't covered.

Do I need to leave my home during mould removal?

Usually not. The work area is sealed off. For large jobs or people with health concerns, we'll talk it through first.

Do you test for mould?

We inspect and measure moisture. If you need lab testing for insurance or health reasons, we can arrange it as a separate line.

Do you bill my insurance company directly?
